Webinar: Lessons learned from the research and policy dimensions of maternal, newborn, and child health
High-quality health services involve the right care at the right time, responding to the service users’ needs and preferences while minimizing harm and resource waste. More than ever, health care needs to be wholesome and use a health system approach to be more responsive to individuals and their communities. The Innovating for Maternal and Child Health in Africa (IMCHA) Initiative uses a health system approach to identify gaps in providing access and quality services to mothers, newborns, and children and implementing innovations to address the challenges identified. The main goal is to reduce the preventable deaths of women and children and improve maternal and child health outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa.
This webinar series aims to share learnings, challenges, and recommendations on implementation research work from the IMCHA Initiative. The series will be divided into three thematic areas: community-based interventions, quality of care in health facilities, and human resources for health.
