Research on food security makes a difference for African women
There is ample evidence that addressing gender inequalities and empowering women are vital to meeting the challenges of improving food and nutrition security, and enabling poor rural people to overcome poverty.
A central objective of the Canadian International Food Security Research Fund (CIFSRF) is to address this gender challenge. The Stories of Change series, published by WRENmedia, shares some of the emerging gender outcomes from CIFSRF projects in nine African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, and Tanzania.
