IDRC is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 IDRC Doctoral Research Awards. These awardees will conduct field research in 20 developing countries.

IDRC Doctoral Research Awards are intended to increase research capacity in Canada and in developing countries to improve the lives of people in the developing world. These awards are open yearly to Canadians, permanent residents of Canada, and citizens from developing countries who are pursuing doctoral studies at Canadian universities.
