IDRC is joining thousands of leaders and advocates from all over the world to revitalize efforts to achieve gender equality at the Women Deliver 2019 conference in Vancouver from June 3 to 6.  Conference delegates can attend several IDRC-hosted events and visit the IDRC booth to learn how the knowledge, innovations, and solutions we support with our many research partners are empowering women and girls.

The power of evidence for driving progress and change
June 3, 1–3 p.m.

IDRC’s pre-conference talk-show style discussion will feature the latest evidence on how to harness power to bring about progress and change by addressing individual power, structural barriers, and collective action. Seasoned researchers and practitioners will link research to real-life change.

Redressing power imbalances: using research to transform gender relations

This session showcases core principles and practices that contribute to gender transformative research. We will launch a publication that uses case studies to illustrate the value of addressing the root causes of inequality, building systemic partnerships for change, and strengthening capacities.
